random thoughts for a day

He died yesterday. I remember reading "Death of a Salesman" in high school and feel this increable sadness for all of the characters. I felt as though they were all victim to a sad oppression but what was worse is that they were unaware of their oppressed state. I think that played a signifigant role in my refusal of corporate america.

A woman in Kansas "woke up" from a 20 year coma. She started talking this last week. She went into this coma when she was 18 years old after a car accident. Can you imagine if you had a relative or friend that is injured and then 20 years later started conversing and remembering facts and events. How would you explain the last 20 years... could you imagine missing the years of your life between the ages of 18 and 38? You go from "young" to "old" without any signifigant event or memory.

Someone explain to me how we went to war with a country and overthrew their government in search of WMD's that did not exist while in the meantime North Korea is producing nuclear weapons. Can anyone say... oil?
